RoCK’s clear focus remains the LGBT community and the whole life experience of LGBT, not only the sexual health needs of the community. For this reason, RoCK wishes to continue to work to promote LGBT organising and to promote a culture of self-reliance rather than NGO-dependency. To this end, building on the local self-organising of lesbians after Pride 2009, RoCK wishes to support further LGBT organising in 2010/2011 in five provinces: Kampong Chnang, Siem Reap, Battambang, Kompong Som, and Takeo.
In the provinces where we have focused, relationships among LGBT have been strengthened, more contact has been enabled. At least one activity will have happened in each province. Communication between these provinces and RoCK members in Phnom Penh will have increased. More requests for activities will be forthcoming and higher participation in Pride 2011 (either- input into shaping Pride 2011 or local events happening for Pride or more numbers traveling to Phnom Penh for Pride 2011).
